Quarterly Writing Goals: October, November, and December 2017

The last few months have been hectic to say the least.  Work, writing, and whatnot have dominated any free time I have had, but now I’m getting back into a working schedule (as opposed to the chaotic mess of before).  Of course, I’m in the midst of writing the second book of a five-book series, so working on that comes first.

Despite being inactive online, I’ve written over 30% more of my current work in progress and have read 81 out of 100 books for the 2017 Goodreads Reading Challenge.  For the rest of the year, I plan to:

  • finish my current work in progress (or at least write three-fourths of it)
  • read 100 out of 100 books
  • begin rewriting one out of four short stories
  • write more poems
  • continue typing first book in series
  • update this blog as regularly as possible

In theory, it isn’t that much to do, but stuff does tend to pile up.  I will be working towards finishing up the year with a bang.  Anyway, I hope you all have a relaxing or productive weekend, whichever you need, and I’ll see you next week!

Quarterly Writing Goals: July, August, and September 2017

Three months ago, I came up with a list of goals for the second quarter of the year.  They were to update this blog regularly, finish planning the second book in my 5-book series, finish typing the first book, to finish a short story I’ve been working on for ages, and to keep reading.  I finished planning the book and kept reading, but I didn’t finish typing the first book or the short story.  But I did complete a different short story and have gotten a bit through two others.

My goals for July through September are to:

  • update this blog regularly
  • continue writing the second book in the series and possibly finish it
  • finish typing the first book
  • finish the short story once and for all
  • keep reading (I have 58 out of 100 books read)

I’m hoping to continue to write book reviews and get back into poetry.  I might share a few short stories I’ve written, so keep an eye out.  I hope you all have a safe and relaxing weekend.  See you next week!
